Lecture handouts at the university are easy to share with others if you save them as PDFs.
Scanning them at home is fine, but an app that can convert them into data on the spot is more convenient.
In this article, I’ll introduce you to the usefulness and usage of the recommended app CamScanner!

CamScanner” has been banned in India because it is a Chinese-made application.
Also, there was malware in the Android app (now removed)
Please use it at your own risk by not scanning very important documents.
Camscanner’s useful points
Support for special scans

In camscanner, there is a shooting function that is not found in the other apps introduced here. The following features are recommended compared to other scanner apps.
- Conversion to Excel data
- Conversion to Word data
- Scan ID card
- Automatic page splitting of a book
High-precision scanning
It is very easy to see the reading accuracy of automatic shooting and after processing the captured image.
Other apps recognize places other than paper, so you need to correct them later.
I find Camscanner easy to use when capturing a large number of images or detailed documents.
Can be sent to a computer

The data taken is automatically synchronized over the Internet, so you don’t have to worry about losing your phone.
Furthermore, data can be transferred to a computer by simply taking a picture of the QR code.
This is very useful when synchronization takes a long time and you want to operate on your computer immediately.
Easy-to-use UI
Many scanner apps are cumbersome to use from the time you take the picture to the time you scan.
Camscanner is intuitive and easy to use, and it is easy to select a range manually.
In continuous shooting, you can re-shoot the selected image with a single tap, so there is no stress when using it.
Student Benefits

You can take advantage of the benefits by registering your e-mail address with your university.
It is quite convenient, as it eliminates the watermark when converting to PDF and increases the storage capacity.
College students who do not scan very important documents may want to register.
How to use Camscanner
Shooting/Scanning
Camscanner has a variety of shooting functions, but I will explain the “continuous shooting” function, which I often use.
First, download the app (free version), I do not recommend the paid version.

You don’t need to log in to use it, but it’s a good idea to register so you can sync with your computer.
Register your email address or phone number and enter the number that was sent to you.
Finally, register your password, and you are ready to use CamScanner.

Press the camera symbol in the center of the app to select the type of shooting (in this case, continuous shooting).
Press the second button from the right on the screen to switch between manual and automatic shooting.
The accuracy is pretty good, so much so that you basically don’t need to make any corrections, so press the bottom right button to move on.

The “Swap” function allows you to re-take a photo that was not taken properly and replace it on the spot.
Left” rotates the photo, and “Filter” adjusts the color, black and white, etc.
The “Crop edges” function zooms in on the area you are adjusting, making it much easier to adjust.
Send to PC

After the photo is taken and scanned, select “Share Link” and then “Send to PC”.
Type “d.cscan.co” into your PC, and a website with only QR codes will appear.
Press “Scan QR Code” on the app to start the camera, and take a picture.

The PC version of CamScanner is also quite convenient in that you can send files instantly.
You can open a file with “Open” or download a file with “Download”.
In the web version, you can also change the PDF to Word or PowerPoint, which is worth a try.
Quite a useful scanner app

There are many scanner apps out there, but this one is the best in terms of ease of use.
There are many types of scanner apps, but this one is the best in terms of ease of use. The fact that the app is provided by China is a cause for concern, but I still want to use it.
You may want to refrain from setting your university email address if you are a member of a laboratory.
